To do this, I created an ecosystem, whereby guest profiles can be created, with a picture and bio added, as well as links to their imdb profile. This included shows they have appeared in, alongside links to buy tickets for their appearances at the relevant convention.
With an individual post for each show, the clever website functionality meant that multiple guests could be added, and customers can browse the site easily, taking a look at each show. They could see at a glance who was hosting a guest appearance and ensure quick and easy access to the schedule to buy tickets.
Guests could be displayed and filtered, where required, on the site, complete with their own showmasters’ custom overlay style, which features a unique frame and zooming photograph.
I also ensured sponsored content could be displayed in the header of the site, as well as in places where the relevant shortcode was used. This content is assigned a date range, so the content is only displayed at the relevant time – and the click-throughs from this content can be tracked with Google Tag Manager.
I’m looking forward to attending London Film & Comic Con; everyone was delighted with the new website and it will be great to learn more about how it has made the customer experience smoother.
